Chawandi Kalan is a small village of 635 hectares in Tijara Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chawandi Kalan depends on TIJARA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Chawandi Kalan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Chawandi Kalan's pin code is 301411[4], and village code is 00817000. The area of Chawandi Kalan is segregated as 232 hectares irrigated area, 201 hectares unirrigated, the 143 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 26 hectare area not available for cultivation.
