Chaukhan is a small village of 2412 hectares in Jodhpur Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chaukhan depends on Jodhpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 107.66% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Chaukhan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Chaukhan's pin code is 342001[4], and village code is 01964800. The area of Chaukhan is segregated as 237.23 hectares irrigated area, 209.25 hectares unirrigated, the 16.19 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 457.5 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Chaukhan is a census village in the district of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 6881 and has total administration over 1227 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jodhpur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
