Charot is a small village of 633 hectares in Raipur Tehsil in Bhilwara district, also known as the Textile City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Charot depends on Gangapur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 21.32% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. Charot is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Charot's pin code is 311805[4], and village code is 02860400. The area of Charot is segregated as 71.32 hectares irrigated area, 261.02 hectares unirrigated, the 82.54 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 194.47 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Gangapur and Bhilwara to sell ghee and make their living.
