Charlotte Fry (born 11 February 1996) is a British equestrian athlete. She competed at the 2019 European Championships in Rotterdam where she became 4th with the British dressage team. Her mother Laura Fry competed at the 1992 Summer Olympic Games in Barcelona. She trains in Den Hout, The Netherlands with former Danish Olympian Anne van Olst.[1] She is currently in the running for a British team spot on the Olympics in Tokyo.
Charlotte Fry started riding at a young age. At the age of fourteen Charlotte started her training with Olympic Champion Carl Hester. When she turned sixteen she started weekly lessons with Hester. Carl told Anne van Olst about Charlotte, after which Fry moved to the Netherlands to train with Anne there. Since then she has lived and worked in the Netherlands.[2]
In 2018 Charlotte became World Champion during the World Championships for Young Horses in Ermelo with Glamourdale in the 7-years old division. She also became European Champion at the European Championships for Grand Prix riders under the age of 25 in Exloo, Netherlands in 2018 with her horse Dark Legend.[3][4]
