Charles Edward Williams (born 1984) is a contemporary visual artist from Georgetown, SC.[1]
Education
Williams holds a BFA from Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, GA, and an MFA from the University of North Carolina in Greensboro, NC.[1]
Solo Exhibitions
Solo traveling exhibitions include “Sun + Light” and “Warm Water.” “Sun + Light” has been presented at Polk Museum of Art, Gibbes Museum of Art, and Residency Art Gallery.[2][3][4] “Warm Water” has been presented at the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts, Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art, and Weber State University's Mary Elizabeth Dee Shaw Gallery.[5][6][7]
Residencies
Williams has attended artist residencies at the Gibbes Museum of Art and the McColl Center for Art + Innovation.[8][9] In 2022, Williams was a resident artist at McComb-based Pike School Of Art – Mississippi, with funding from The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.[10][11]
