Charles Henry Branscombe was an English painter born in 1858 in Kingston-upon-Thames.[1] Many of his paintings were painted in the early 20th century and sold at auction between 1993 and 2017 for between $56 and $1067.[2] He died on the 1st of April 1923. He was married to Nellie Henderson (1885-1892) and Ada Branscombe (1897-1914) and had 2 children.[1][3]

Personal Life

Charles Branscombe was born in 1858 to Walter and Mary Branscombe in Kingston-upon-Thames. He married Nellie Henderson from New York on 29th December 1885 in St Columb's Cathedral in Londonderry, Ireland. He would have 2 kids, George and Helen, with Nellie. However, Nellie would die in 1892 at age 27. He would go on to remarry to Ada Branscombe in 1897, however she would also die in 1914. Sometime at the end of the 19th century, he moved to Stratton, Cornwall where he would do many of his paintings. He died in Stratton in 1923.
