Chari is a small village of 1243 hectares in Ramsar Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chari depends on BARMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Chari is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Chari's pin code is 344502[4], and village code is 02233500. The area of Chari is segregated as 1067.02 hectares unirrigated, the 155.98 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 19.58 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Barmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
