Charan Gurumurthy, born Charavanakumara Gurumurthy (Tamil: சரவனகுமரா குருமுர்தி, born 17 August 1973) is an Indian-born engineer and businessman, and the Head of Tata Electronics. [1] [2] [3]
Early life
Gurumurthy was born on 17 August 1973 in Sirkazhi (சிர்காழி) to Gurumurthy Gopalan and Indra Gurumurthy.[citation needed]
He spent the first three years of his life in Sirkazhi before moving to Mettur, although he returned to Sirkazhi for summers and winters.[citation needed]
Gurumurthy is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, SUNY Binghamton, and Cornell University.[citation needed]
He married Gayatri Charavanakumara in June 2003, and raised two children with her.[citation needed]
Career
Prior to joining Tata, Gurumurthy held numerous roles at Intel Corporation, including Area Manager and Senior Director.[citation needed]
