Chapta is a small village of 0 hectares in Auraiya Tehsil in Auraiya district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chapta depends on Babarpur Ajitma, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Chapta's pin code is 206129[4], and village code is 04143500. The area of Chapta is segregated as 96 hectares irrigated area, 71 hectares unirrigated area. the 214 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 29 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Babarpur Ajitma and Auraiya to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
