Chanwli is a small village of 213 hectares in Pirawa Tehsil in Jhalawar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chanwli depends on Pirawa, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 53.32% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Chanwli is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Chanwli's pin code is 326036[4], and village code is 04100600. The area of Chanwli is segregated as 113.57 hectares irrigated area, 23.89 hectares unirrigated, the 54.25 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 21 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Pirawa and Jhalawar to sell bricks and make their living.
