Chanod is a small village of 5786 hectares in Sumerpur Tehsil in Pali district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chanod depends on Rani, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, which is 420.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Chanod is also surrounded by Two lakes. They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Rani and Pali to sell bricks and make their living.
