Chanaita is a small village of 101.2 hectares in Burhanpur Tehsil in Azamgarh district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chanaita depends on Atraulia (NP) , the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sourcesOne canal. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. The area of Chanaita is segregated as 72.74 hectares irrigated area, 11.41 hectares unirrigated area. and remaining 7.43 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Atraulia (NP) and Azamgarh to sell jaggery and make their living.
