Carolina Nunes also known by Cah Nunes (born 16 February 1992 in São Paulo) is a brazilian racing driver and also the first transgender[1] female driver in Brazil.[2] She is also known for having created the only racing Ford Fusion in the world.[3]
Carolina is transgender and has used her status as a prominent racing driver to raise awareness of LGBT and transgender rights.[4]
Racing Ford Fusion
Carolina is also known for building her own racing car, a 2010 Ford Fusion that had the body extended, engine and transmission modified for racing and most of the parts manufactured by herself. With this car she competed in several categories where she earned her titles.
The Ford Fusion is the only model with manual transmission in Brazil and became known worldwide for being a daring and exclusive project.
The car also has competition brakes, suspension designed for competition and aerodynamic kit. What stands out most about this project is that the car is totally street legal.
