Carmeni Selvam is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language social drama film written and directed by Ram Chakri and produced by Arun Rangarajulu.[1] The film stars Samuthirakani, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli, and Abhinaya.[4] The music is composed by Musicloud Studio and Technologies.[2] The film is scheduled for release on 17 October 2025.[5]
Production
This film was initially supposed to be directed by Karthik Ravi and be his second film after Kurai Ondrum Illai (2014).[6]
The film is produced by Arun Rangarajulu, and is backed by Pathway Productions.[1] Director-writer Ram Chakri described the film as a financial drama exploring modern aspirations and family dynamics, aiming to tell a "universally relatable, honest story".[1][5]
Music
The soundtrack is composed by Musicloud Studio and Technologies.[2] The first single, titled Carmeni Selvam, was released on 25 September 2025 and described by Cinema Express as "a driver's love letter to his car".[7]
Release
The film is scheduled to be released theatrically on 17 October 2025.[5]
