Carl Brandon Boor (born 1979 in Mansfield, Ohio) is a FIDE chess master.[1] Carl is a multi-time state championship of Ohio,[2] (2002, 2007, 2011) and as well as high ranking[3] in blitz chess. Carl is credited with the invention of the Boor Attack and the Queens Gambit Slav Defense (1.d4 d5 2.c4 c6 3. cxd5 cxd5 4.Nc3 Nf6 5.f3). Carl has also written articles and played matches in support of the Pre-chess (Shuffle Chess, Bronstein Chess[4])
