Carambolim is a small village of 1504 hectares in Tiswadi Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Carambolim depends on PANAJI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Carambolim is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Carambolim's pin code is 403110[5], and village code is 00007600. The area of Carambolim is segregated as 79.33 hectares irrigated area, 1082.78 hectares unirrigated, the 32.91 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 308.68 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Carambolim is a census village in the district of North Goa, Goa. The village has a total population of 5179 and has total administration over 1195 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of PANAJI and North Goa to sell coconuts and make their living.
