Candepar is a small village of 1111 hectares in Ponda Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Candepar depends on CURTI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Candepar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Candepar's pin code is 403406[5], and village code is 00019900. The area of Candepar is segregated as 73.66 hectares irrigated area, 428.12 hectares unirrigated, the 36.83 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 80.01 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Candepar has One post office (Candepar B.O) and Two public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Candepar has One bank and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with One recreational center.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Candepar is a census village in the district of North Goa, Goa. The village has a total population of 3768 and has total administration over 860 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of CURTI and North Goa to sell coconut oil and make their living.
