Canca is a small village of 81 hectares in Bardez Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Canca depends on MAPUSA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Canca is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Canca's pin code is 403510[5], and village code is 00004300. The area of Canca is segregated as 1.76 hectares irrigated area, 43.51 hectares unirrigated, the 26.4 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 9.42 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Canca has One post office (Canca B.O) and Seven public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Canca has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Canca is a census village in the district of North Goa, Goa. The village has a total population of 3551 and has total administration over 794 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of MAPUSA and North Goa to sell iron grills and make their living.
