Camurlim is a small village of 873 hectares in Bardez Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Camurlim depends on SIOLIM, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Camurlim is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Camurlim's pin code is 403507[5], and village code is 00002800. The area of Camurlim is segregated as 15.26 hectares irrigated area, 465.32 hectares unirrigated, the 99.03 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 293.09 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of SIOLIM and North Goa to sell tiger prawns and make their living.
