Chesser was a standout junior footballer from Lavington who demonstrated exceptional talent early on, becoming the Vic Country captain and an All-Australian at under-16 level. He also excelled as a national level sprinter. In pursuit of his his AFL dream and education, he moved out of home after Year 9 to attend Melbourne Grammar. Despite a knee injury and limited play due to COVID, he was drafted from the Sandringham Dragons[1] 14th overall to the West Coast Eagles in the 2021 AFL Draft.[2]

AFL Career

After missing his first season with injury, Chesser debuted on the first round of the 2023 AFL season in a close game against the North Melbourne Football Club finishing with 5 disposals and 3 marks. Chesser is currently signed on with the West Coast Eagles until 2025.[3]
