Calvim is a small village of 135 hectares in Bardez Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Calvim depends on ALDONA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Calvim is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Calvim's pin code is 403523[5], and village code is 00005200. The area of Calvim is segregated as 94.62 hectares unirrigated, the 5.26 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 35.13 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Calvim has One post office (Calvim B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Calvim has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with One recreational center.

Calvim is a census village in the district of North Goa, Goa. The village has a total population of 403 and has total administration over 113 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of ALDONA and North Goa to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
