CA Ventures is a global real estate investment, development, and management company based in Chicago, Illinois. After launching in 2004 as a small niche firm focused on student housing, the company has grown and diversified into a vertically integrated organization with more than $10 billion in global transactions. Known for its visionary commercial developments, CA Ventures is also the parent company of CA Residential, CA Senior Living, and CA International, and CA Industrial.[1]

History

Founder and CEO Tom Scott started the company in 2004 as a niche investment firm that acquired and developed university student housing. In 2008, the firm pioneered a new industry niche when it delivered two in-fill high rise development projects. After the company began offering residential and senior living platforms in 2012, they sold a $627 million student portfolio to student housing REIT, which was one of the largest sales of its kind at that time.[2]

Over almost two decades, CA Ventures has continued to expand its reach and recognition as an industry leader, working in diverse asset classes in several global markets.

Services

CA Ventures delivers comprehensive investment and real estate services across the United States and Europe. The company offers in-house investment, development, and operations services, specializing in commercial real estate asset classes that include student living, multifamily, senior living, and industrial.

Playing a significant part in the diversification and expansion of the company, John has helped grow its portfolio from $400 million to $20+ billion in transactions.[4]
