Butterfly 3000 is the 18th studio album by Australian Psychedelic rock band King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. To be released on 11 June 2021, via the band's own label, KGLW. The album was described as "Melodic, Psychedelic" upon the announcement on May 10, along with the words "Cross-eyed auto-stereogram".
Little to no information about the upcoming album has been revealed, other than the aforementioned attributes. No information will be revealed until the release, including tracklist, cover art, or any singles. It was described in a press release as "[possibly] their most fearless leap into the unknown yet." It seems from multiple articles breaking down the press release, that the album will be a psychedelic, Animal Collective-style, dream pop record.[1] Fans are very excited about the upcoming record, although almost nothing of it has been released.
