Buran Ka Tala is a small village of 4452 hectares in Chohtan Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Buran Ka Tala depends on BARMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Buran Ka Tala is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Buran Ka Tala's pin code is 344702[4], and village code is 02258400. The area of Buran Ka Tala is segregated as 451 hectares irrigated area, 3381 hectares unirrigated, the 139 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 481 hectare area not available for cultivation.
