Build Jakapan (บิว; born; June 4, 1994), (金建成 ; Jin Jian Cheng ) is an actor based in Thailand, a CEO of his own firm ‘Buildyourloveforyou’, and Co-founder of apparel brand ‘Polly Pastel’. Build is also a trained saxophonist and graphic designer and almost all of Polly Pastel items are designed by him. In 2017, he made his acting debut as Danai in Yuea Phayabat [1]. He rose to prominence with the Reality television show Cuteboy Thailand (Thai Reality TV show) (2017) and gained more recognition for his supporting role in KinnPorsche (2022), which led to him being selected for various online award nominations. Over the years Build has made a name for himself and is loved by millions of fans across globe. He named his fandom Beyourluve who are very active in supporting all of his activities and endorsements. Build is also fondly called Biu , Babiu , Xiao zhu because of his cute appearance and bubbly nature.

Early years and education

Build grew up as the youngest child of the 3 children of Puttha family Saraburi, one of the central provinces of Thailand. He describes himself as introverted and musically inclined during his childhood and teenage years. During his teen years, he was also seriously injured in a car accident while saving a friend. He completed his school from Darasamut School, Siracha Chonburi, where he wanted to join the school band as a drumer but was assigned a saxophonist position, that will be the begining of the journey of saxophonist Jakapan, as fondly refered by his fans.

After finishing high school, Build studied at the Bangkok University where he received a bachelors degree from the Faculty of Communication Arts. His art is inspired by Van Gogh and Starry Night is undoubtedly one of his favorite paintings.

Career

2015–2019: Music Band

Build continued his musical enthusiasm into adulthood where he was part of a band named Stickwithfriends [2], from 2015 to 2019. It is a 4 member band, the name was inspired from their promise to 'stick with friends always', the concept was born from being friends on the campus of Bangkok University, together they formed a band and played music at night for almost 10 years. Build played saxophone [3], bass, guitar and piano as part of the band. He explained in his Dek-D interview "We started this band because we shared the same passion for music and one day decided to audition as a musician at a restaurant, to earn some extra money . Then we've started making a serious band."

2017–2019: Acting Career

Build started his career through the talent search event, reality TV show Cuteboy Thailand [4]. After his appearance on the show, he gained more popularity and was noted as very cute and friendly by the public. Before becoming an actor, he is known to have tried out a career in the field of graphic design and stylist . Build finally made his acting debut in 2017, he was casted for his first drama, Yeua Payabsat (Vengeful Victim)[5], in the role of Danai, the son of a department store owner. He then played Katha in Tra Barb See Chompoo (Pink Stigma) [6] a year later in 2018.

Two years after he was again casted in a drama named Proamook [7], there he played Oak, who is a DJ and the main character's best friend.

2020-2022: Acting in BL series

He was casted for KinnPorsche The Series, in 2020 as Pete, the head bodyguard of the Main Family under the production of Filmania which was later moved under the production house of Be On Cloud in 2022. Build was praised for playing the challenging role of Pete Phongsakorn Saengtham, Tankhun's head bodyguard, Porsche's roommate at the Theerapanyakun compound and love interest of the notorius eldest son of the minor family Vegas Theerapanyakun. With a screentime of less than 30 minutes he was able to mesmerize the audience with his versatile acting of innocent Pete with a hidden dual personality.

2023: Music Career

Build Jakapan announced his venture into the music industry during his comeback Reborn Concert in Bangkok on 04 June 2023. The single is produced by Khanngoen "Khan" Nuanual from the famous Thai-American hip hop music group, Thaitanium (ไทยเทเนี่ยม) . He finally released his Single Be Your Luve [8][9][10][11] on 04 September 2023, with a heartwarming post on his Personal on Twitter

The single was an overnight sensation among fans and worldwide. It ranked top in over 29 countries. Fans took to various social media platform to share their support and reviews.

Philanthropy

  • Build and his fandom Beyourluve donated ฿900K towards the renovation of the Wat Soi Si Temple in the Saraburi province.[16][17]
  • A portion of the sales gained from the XBlush & Bluid collaboration was donated to the 'Guardian Bud Project' which works for the betterment of underpreviledged girls in China.[18]
  • A total of ¥3420 has been donated to the "China Red Cross" in name of Build & his fans.[19]
  • Children's day donation to Pattaya Orphanage's house.[20]
