Buch Kalan is a small village of 1968 hectares in Bilara Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Buch Kalan depends on Pipar City, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, which is 42.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Buch Kalan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Buch Kalan's pin code is 342601[4], and village code is 02007800. The area of Buch Kalan is segregated as 111.02 hectares irrigated area, 1629.22 hectares unirrigated, the 53.78 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 173.59 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Pipar City and Jodhpur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
