Bronwyn Brady (born 2 March 1985) is an Australian teacher, writer, and Podcast. She hosts and produces Teach Starter, an industry podcast for primary/elementary school teachers, with over 350 episodes in its catalogue and 35 000 subscribers[1]. The Teach Starter podcast is partnered with renowned commercial broadcasting entity Nova Entertainment.

Career

Bronwyn taught in Brisbane primary schools for eleven years, predominantly in the Early Years sector (K-3). She has been a contributor to parenting websites Kidspot[2]and Gender Dreaming and on her own blog, Four to Adore[3], which offers tips for working parents.

In 2018, she began her career as a writer at Edtech Teach Starter[4], creating blog articles and other digital content to support teachers' practice.

Podcast

In late 2019 Bronwyn led the digital content team at Teach Starter in launching the company's branded podcast, originally titled "For the Love of Teaching". In 2020, the podcast was renamed in line with the brand, to Teach Starter. The Teach Starter podcast features key voices in education, and releases three episodes weekly.

The first episode featured notable former teacher Gabbie Stroud , author of Teacher. This episode sent the show to the number one spot in Apple Podcasts' Education category the day it was launched.

Other notable guests have included Kirby Short (former cricketer and high school deputy principal[5]), and Maggie Dent (parenting author and former teacher), and Rob Hunter, whose class was kidnapped at gunpoint in the 1970s.

The Teach Starter podcast has a content library of over 300 episodes[6], and is partnered with Nova Entertainment. The show is consistently ranked in the top 100 Australian podcasts[7].

Personal Life

Bronwyn is a mother to four children.
