Breanne (Bre) Williamson (born November 23, 1991) is a Canadian writer.[2], actor[2], producer[2], podcaster[3], YouTuber[4], social media personality[4][5][6][7], online content creator[4][5][6][7], and LQBTQ+ advocate. She is known for her short film “Coming Out” (2019)[8] which she wrote, starred in, and produced[2]. She also co-hosts the podcast “I Can Explain” along with Sean Lusk[3]

Career
Film
Williamson wrote, starred in, and produced a short film called “Coming Out” (2019).[2]. It is a comedy about how LQBTQ+ people are constantly having to come out[8]. It premiered at the TIFF Bell Lightbox and currently has over 2.1 million views on YouTube[8]. She is currently working on her second film "Aging Out."[7][5] It is about someone whose girlfriend leaves them for a younger, cooler girlfriend and her journey to reinvent herself with the help of her hesitant co-worker as her 30th birthday looms. It is in production for a projected Winter 2023 premier[7][5]. Williamson not only has starred in her own short films but also various TV series and shorts, including “Motherland: Fort Salem” (2021), “The Collector” (2022), “Blockbuster” (2022), and “Family Law” (2023). Williamson is also currently starring in her next film, “Aging Out” (2023)[2]

In 2018, Williamson along with her friend Sean Lusk started the podcast "I Can Explain" which currently has over 200 episodes[3]. It is an LGBTQ+ centered podcast in which Bre and Sean give advice and their points of view on a variety of topics and have recurring segments called "Q+Gay" and "Well You Asked."

Williamson has been on YouTube since 2013 and currently has over 250 videos posted with more than six million views and over 72,300 subscribers[4]. Her YouTube channel includes several ongoing series: "I Heard She's A Lesbian", Vlogmas, "Gay Girl Tips", and an online dating series called "Out Online".[4]
