Bradley S. Feuer is an American physician, attorney, law enforcement officer, broadcaster, and academician. Feuer founded the Florida Highway Patrol's Troop Surgeon Program, founded the Palm Beach Consortium for Graduate Medical Education, hosted numerous radio and television programs, and served as a catalyst in enhancing the quality of care rendered onboard cruise ships.

Career

Bradley Feuer founded the Florida Highway Patrol's troop surgeon program, and became the Patrol's first Chief Surgeon, reaching the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Florida Highway Patrol Auxiliary.[1][2] [3] He has become a subject matter expert in first responder peer support,[4] and was appointed to the Florida Highway Patrol Advisory Council.[5] In 2014, Feuer was appointed to the Department of Homeland Security Active Shooter Situational Working Group and contributed to the publication: Incorporating Active Shooter Incident Planning into Health Care Facility Emergency Operation Plans.[6] In 2015, he participated as a subject matter expert in the Department of Health and Human Services/ASPR Workshop on Critical Infrastructure HPH Sector Risk Assessment (Washington, DC, October 13-14, 2015).[7]

A leader in medical education and clinical academia, Feuer founded and directed the Palm Beach Consortium for Graduate Medical Education, a multi-facility academic medical center affiliated with HCA.[8] [9] He also served as regional clinical dean and clinical professor of family medicine at both Nova Southeastern University and the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.[10][11]

As a healthcare attorney, Feuer was of counsel to the firm of Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs LLC, and a founding member, vice president, and co-chief operating officer of the Florida office of Brennan, Manna & Diamond, PL.[12]

A physician-broadcaster, Feuer produced and hosted "For Your Health", heard on WPBR talk radio in Palm Beach, and the "For Your Health Minute" on WRLX-FM, West Palm Beach, as well as serving as medical expert on WPBF-TV's (abc) "Hot Topic" and "Hot Lines," and co-host of the highly-rated "Doctor to Doctor" on WPEC-TV (cbs).[13]

Feuer was the first osteopathic physician to serve as president of the Palm Beach County Medical Society and led that organization in 2001 when anthrax was first diagnosed in a Palm Beach County hospital.[14][15]

An advocate for enhancement of medical care available on cruise ships,[16][17] in 1997 Feuer sponsored a survey of cruise line medical facilities, the results of which were published in the Journal of Critical Care Medicine,[18][19][20] leading to significant improvements in the industry.[21] Feuer was called to testify before Congress on the state of medical care onboard cruise ships, [22] and has been recognized as a subject matter expert,[23][24][25][26][27][28][29] contributing to four editions of The Unofficial Guide to Cruises.[30][31][32][33]
