Brad Lichtenstein is an American documentary film director and producer.[1][2][3][4] In 2022, he won the Primetime Emmy Award for Exceptional Merit in Documentary Filmmaking for his documentary film When Claude Got Shot.[5][6]
Career
Brad's debut feature documentary was André's Lives, about Andrew Steiner's return to Slovakia with his sons to discuss his wartime experiences.[7] He taught documentary production at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and founded the program doc|UWM.[8] He is the founder of 371 Productions.
In 2012, he directed the feature documentary, As Goes Janesville, was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Investigative Journalism: Long Form.[9]
Personal life
Brad is married to Anne Basting, a professor, founder of Timeslips, MacArthur Fellow and author.[10]
