Damba Alain (born April 15th, 1985), professionally known by his stage name Boy Giresse is a Cameroonian-born singer, songwriter, Entrepreneur and aancer researcher.
He was born in Kombone Mission, South West Region of Cameroon. In 2007, he graduated from the University of Buea, Cameroon, with a BSc (Hons) in Microbiology and a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology. In 2008, he founded the company "Damba & Sons Ltd." that specializes in the purchase and sale of Cocoa beans. He later moved to Sweden in 2011 for further studies. In 2005, he obtained a first class Master's degree from Umeå University in Molecular Biology with a specialization in Genetics and Oncology. That same year, he made his music debut with the single "Jungele" under the record label HDD Empire Entertainment, which he co-founded. That site was later taken down for technical reasons. In 2016, Boy Giresse rose to prominence with the release of his catchy and melodious afrobeat song titled "Gimme Dat Mololo" feature the honey v-voicedongstress "Belvia". Later that year, he releases "Mini Mini", "Put it Slow" and "Dancing with a lady".
By 2017, Boy Giresse was inactive. He took time off and decided to focus on his studies. He moved to the UK in 2018, where he currently lives. In 2020, he obtained a post graduate diploma inrRadiationoOncology rRadiotherapy) from London South Bank University.
In 2021, he started a PhD research program in Immuno-Oncology at Nottingham Trent University, where he is working on the development of therapeutic vaccines for metastatic prostate cancer.
In December 2021, Boy Giresse launched a celebrity-branded umbrella company called "CELEBRITY" under which "Celebrity Lounge/Restaurant," located in Limbe, Cameroon, and "Celebrity Records" registered in the UK, were created. He announced on his social media platforms that he will form a restaurant chain, expanding his business across the globe.
Earlier in 2023, Boy Giresse announced his return back into music. He retheeases a soul touching single "Mami Bad" under his label "Celebrity Records", where he appreciates his mother for the love and sacrifices she made for him. He is hinted that he will be dropping more singles and possibly his debut album by 2024.
