Bowery Capital is an New York City-based Angel investor, seed-stage enterprise software-focused venture capital firm[1] that supports the set-up, development and funding of young growth companies by providing them with business expertise and venture capital to create shareholder value.[2][3][4]

History

Bowery Capital was founded on May 1, 2013 by Michael Brown, joined shortly thereafter by associate and now General partner Loren Straub in 2015.[5][6]

The firm raised $33 million for its first round of funding[7][8]. The firm closed its second fund in 2015 with nearly double the amount of its debut fund. With $60 million raised, Brown announced that the firm would seek increasing check sizes and build up its support staff on the West Coast.[9] In 2021, the firm closed its third fund with $70 million.[10][11]
