Borif is a small village of 396 hectares in Sawai Madhopur Tehsil in Sawai Madhopur district, also known for Ranthambore National Park in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Borif depends on SAWAI MADHOPUR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 23.60% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Borif is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Borif's pin code is 322001[4], and village code is 01320500. The area of Borif is segregated as 200.63 hectares irrigated area, 100.03 hectares unirrigated, the 56.4 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 7.22 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sawai Madhopur to sell earthen pot and make their living.
