Borda Kachhiyan is a small village of 1425 hectares in Keshoraipatan Tehsil in Bundi district, also known as a city of stepwells in the State of Rajasthan, India.[1] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Borda Kachhiyan depends on KAPRAIN, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[2] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Borda Kachhiyan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Borda Kachhiyan's pin code is 323803[3], and village code is 02745300. The area of Borda Kachhiyan is segregated as 311 hectares irrigated area, 342 hectares unirrigated, the 290.4 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 350 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of KAPRAIN and Bundi to sell ghee and make their living.
