Borao is a small village of 1465 hectares in Rawatbhata Tehsil in Chittorgarh district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Borao depends on Singoli (M.P.), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 50.34% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Borao is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Borao's pin code is 323304[4], and village code is 03572100. The area of Borao is segregated as 241.69 hectares irrigated area, 188.89 hectares unirrigated, the 873.55 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 73.47 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Singoli (M.P.) and Chittorgarh to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
