Boraj is a small village of 563 hectares in Rajsamand Tehsil in Rajsamand district, known for Rajsamand Lake, an artificial lake created in the 17th century by Rana Raj Singh in the state of , India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Boraj depends on RAJSAMAND, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 7.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Boraj is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Boraj's pin code is 313324[4], and village code is 03018000. The area of Boraj is segregated as 17 hectares irrigated area, 76 hectares unirrigated, the 217.41 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 253 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Rajsamand to sell marble tiles and make their living.
