Borai is a small village of 458 hectares in Bassi Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Borai depends on Dausa, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 30.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Borai is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Borai's pin code is 303305[4], and village code is 01623300. The area of Borai is segregated as 41 hectares irrigated area, 226 hectares unirrigated, the 88 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 103 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Dausa and Jaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
