BootstrapLabs is an American venture capital firm. BootstrapLabs works with startups in Seed-to-Series A stage investments who focus on applying artificial intelligence to industrial problems.[1] The company has offices in San Francisco, California.

History

In 2008, BootstrapLabs was founded by Nicolai Wadstrom,[1][25] and made initial investments in Prezi[15] and Witsbits.[26]

In 2012, Benjamin Levy joined BootstrapLabs in a co-founding role.[27]

In 2015, BootstrapLabs started to focus solely on investing in Applied Artificial Intelligence.[1]

In 2016, BootstrapLabs launched BootstrapLabs Applied AI Conference,[28] an annual conference focused on how Artificial Intelligence is applied and impacts society, organizations and people.[29]

In 2017, BootstrapLabs did the final closing of its first Applied AI focused Venture Capital Fund.[30]

In 2018, BootstrapLabs did the final closing of its second Applied AI focused Venture Capital Fund.[31]
