Bombshells Restaurant & Bar

Bombshells Restaurant & Bar is an America military-themed casual dining restaurant and sports bar chain headquartered in Houston. The concept is owned and was developed by RCI Hospitality Holdings, Inc., a public company trading on NASDAQ under the symbol RICK.

History

The first location opened in Dallas in 2013. The concept was originated by Travis Reese, EVP of RCI. In 2018, Restaurant Business magazine named Bombshells to its "The Future 50" list of fastest-growing concepts.[1]

In 2022, RCI announced a Bombshells franchise agreement for three locations in Alabama, the first being in Huntsville.[2]

The Concept

Locations are large (10,000-12,500 square feet with an outdoor patio).

The chain is also known for its “Bombshells Girls” servers, outfitted with military-inspired uniforms, who bring to life timeless WWII era pin-up girls from calendars, posters and “nose art” paintings on military aircraft.[3]

Financial Performance

For the year ended September 30, 2022, RCI’s Bombshells segment reported sales of $60.0 million and income from operations of $11.5 million.[4]
