Bombedem is a small village of 48 hectares in Satari Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Bombedem depends on VALPOI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and One spring. Bombedem is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Bombedem's pin code is 403505[5], and village code is 00014600. The area of Bombedem is segregated as 42.81 hectares unirrigated, the 3.93 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 1.66 hectare area not available for cultivation.
