Boma is a small village of 395 hectares in Ponda Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Boma depends on BANDORA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and One spring. Boma is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Boma's pin code is 403107[5], and village code is 00019300. The area of Boma is segregated as 36.59 hectares irrigated area, 184.98 hectares unirrigated, the 66.81 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 106.08 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Boma is a census village in the district of North Goa, Goa. The village has a total population of 2807 and has total administration over 653 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BANDORA and North Goa to sell fruits and make their living.
