History

Formation:

Blue Granite was formed in 2019 in Wanneperveen by Mark Heite and Robin Heite. They started the band when they were approximately 16 years old. In the first place de band would have called: The Fiery Candles. They didn't think the name was good enough, so they replaced the name in Blue Granite. In 2020 Robin Heite invited Jordi Zwiers to join the band as a lead singer. Now they were with three members. Mark Heite on guitar, Robin Heite on drums and Jordi Zwiers as a lead singer.

The band had a hard time finding a bass player. The could not find someone nearby. After six months of searching they had finally found someone. His name was Sam Keegstra. He already had some band experience.

Blue Granite plays various genres, so they wanted a bigger and various band. So they looked for a pianist or someone who played the keyboard. For this they asked Ian Heite. Ian is a cousin of the Heite brothers. He thought it would be fun to participate in this.
