Blue Deputy is an American midwest emo band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
History
The band began as a project by Andy Bunting who was later joined by drummer and partner Brody Hamilton.[1]. The duo started recording songs together in 2020[1]. They released two debut singles titled "New Jersey" and "I Hate Steven Springer" in July of 2020 under Chillwave Records[2]. Bassist Drew Rackie and guitarist Grant Clayton accompanied the pair for a Northeast U.S. tour in 2021[1]. After the tour ended, the band released a cover of Coldplay's "Yellow" on Bandcamp in December of 2021[2]
Five demo and cover songs from the band are currently available to stream on SoundCloud.[3]
During a 2022 interview with Sound In The Signals, Hamilton claimed that the band was in the process of recording a debut album, but a release date has yet to be officially announced[1].
