Blayne Alexander is an American journalist who works as. a reporter for NBC News.[1]

Early life

She earned a degree in English from Duke University.[2]

Career

Alexander began her career as a production assistant for NBC Nightly News.[2]

She then moved to Augusta, Georgia to work for WRDW-TV as a general assignment reporter focused on the issue of education.[2]

She worked at 11Alive from 2011 to 2017. From 2017 to 2019, she put out reports for local NBC News stations.[1]

Since 2019, she has worked for NBC News. She makes frequent appearances on shows for network such as Today and NBC Nightly News as well as the channel MSNBC.[1]

Personal life

Alexander lives with her husband, Jay Bailey, in Atlanta. Bailey is the president and CEO of the Russell Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.[1]

Alexander have birth to her first child on July 1, 2021.[3]

She is a member of the Atlanta Association of Black Journalists, the National Association of Black Journalists, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, and Junior League Atlanta.[2]
