Blake Roman (born December 20, 1999) is a singer and actor. He is known primarily for his work in theater and voice acting. He is most well known for his role in the Amazon Prime series Hazbin Hotel..[1] He graduated from the University of Michigan with a BFA in Musical Theatre. [2]
Personal Life
Blake Roman was born in Erie, PA.[3] He attended the University of Michigan. In 2019, he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in Musical Theatre. [2]
In fourth grade, Roman was inspired to go into theatre by his choir teacher. He has stated that "It was while doing community theatre during my junior year of high school" that he started to view musical theatre "as more of an actual career path" [4]
During college, Roman won the 2019 Equity/Alan Eisenberg scholarship as a graduating senior.[5]
Life and career
Musical Theatre
Roman performed on Broadway in the show Harmony (musical) as Chopin. [6] He was the original performer for this role in 2023.
Acting
In 2019, Roman started out his acting career working in short films. Then in 2023, he started getting some bigger name roles. He played in an episode of Blue Bloods as Peter Guerrero. [7] After this, Roman joined the cast of Hazbin Hotel. He is currently the voice actor for Angel Dust (Hazbin Hotel). This character is a porn star living in Hell. [8] He also plays the Egg Bois and Vox's Assistant on Hazbin Hotel. This is Roman's first major TV voice acting role.
