Bigod is a small village of 1648 hectares in Mandalgarh Tehsil in Bhilwara district, also known as the Textile City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Bigod depends on Mandalgarh, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 150.10% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Bigod is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Bigod's pin code is 311601[4], and village code is 02933600. The workforce is 3555 male, 2246 female with 5150 (88.78%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 3353 males and 1797 females. 752 males and 928 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 235 male and 496 female agricultural labor. 651 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Mandalgarh and Bhilwara to sell iron equip. and make their living.
