Bhurtiya is a small village of 1459 hectares in Barmer Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Bhurtiya depends on BARMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Bhurtiya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Bhurtiya's pin code is 344035[4], and village code is 02215300. The area of Bhurtiya is segregated as 1425.52 hectares unirrigated, the 0.55 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 33.22 hectare area not available for cultivation.
