Bhavana Studios is a Digital Entertainment Company / Movie Production House founded by Fahadh Faasil, Dileesh Pothan and Syam Pushkaran.[1]

The first project of the company was Kumbalangi Nights in which the firm was the record label. The movie was directed by Madhu C Narayanan.[2] The movie was produced by Working Class Hero (film production company) in association with Fahad Faasil and Friends company.[3]

Second project was Thankam scheduled for 2020 directed by Saheed Arafath starring Fahadh Faasil, Dileesh Pothan, Joju George and Aparna Balamurali.[4] It was later postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.[5]

On 3 October 2020, the company announced their third project titled as Joji (film), directed by Dileesh Pothan, written by Syam Pushkaran with Fahadh Faasil in the lead.[6] The film is produced by Bhavana Studios in association with Working Class Hero and Fahadh Faasil & Friends Company. Unnimaya Prasad was the executive producer for the project.[7] The announcement featured a poster which informed that the film will be inspired from Shakespeare play Macbeth,[8] It also starred The shoot began on 13 November 2020 and was shot in Cheruvally estate and Erumely. Kottayam, Kerala.[9][10] The shoot was wrapped up on 14 January 2021,[11] within two months.[12] It also starred Baburaj (actor), Unnimaya Prasad, Shammi Thilakan, Basil Joseph and others alongside Fahadh Faasil.[13]

On 31 March 2021, Prime Video Video India released a Teaser campaign and Trailer (promotion) on 2 April 2021 announcing that the film will premiere through the streaming platform.[14][15] JOJI was released on April 7, 2021 on Prime Video as an List of Amazon original programming|Amazon Original Movie.[16] The Original soundtrack of the film was released on Bhavana Studios YouTube Channel.[17] Joji received multiple awards and and recognitions at International Film Festivals around the World.[18]
