Bharkol is a small village of 596 hectares in Alwar Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Bharkol depends on ALWAR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 150.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Bharkol is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Bharkol's pin code is 321633[4], and village code is 00864800. The area of Bharkol is segregated as 226 hectares irrigated area, 160 hectares unirrigated, the 22 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 188 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Alwar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
