Bhangarh is a small village of 740 hectares in Shergarh Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Bhangarh depends on Jodhpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Bhangarh is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Bhangarh's pin code is 342023[4], and village code is 01991800. The area of Bhangarh is segregated as 720 hectares unirrigated, the 20 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves).
